Overview

Help us keep Gold Bar / Capilano’s trails in top shape! Join EMBA for a focused remediation evening on six of the area’s most popular routes. We’ll perform light surface repairs, erosion mitigation, and tread re-shaping to ensure safe, sustainable riding.

 

Trails & Scope

Work Level 1 – Light Remediation

  • Caddytrack

Work Includes:

• Filling small rut and erosion channels

• Re-shaping berms and trail tread

• Clearing debris from drainage lines

 

What to Bring

  • Footwear: Sturdy hiking or work boots
  • Gloves: Your own work gloves
  • Eye Protection: Safety glasses or goggles (recommended)
  • Clothing: Weather-appropriate layers (bring rain gear if needed)
  • Hydration & Snacks: Water bottle and a light snack
  • Dirt working tools such as a flat faced shovel, heavy pronged rake, Rogue Hoe or McLeod. 

EMBA will supply some remediation tools and materials on-site. High-vis vests are not provided.

 

Check-In & Schedule

  • 6:15 PM: Arrive at McNally School, check in with Josh, collect tools
  • 6:30 PM: Safety briefing & trail assignments
  • 6:45–8:45 PM: Remediation work on the six trails listed above
  • 8:45–9:00 PM: Debrief, tool return, and wrap-up

Please arrive by 6:15 PM so we can start promptly at 6:30 PM.
