EMBA Trail Day – Gold Bar / Capilano

Type of Work: Trail remediation (small repairs, erosion control, surface re-shaping)
Overview
Join us for a focused remediation session on two of Gold Bar / Capilano’s fan-favorite trails. We’ll tackle surface repairs, erosion mitigation, and re-shaping on Ricky Business and Sideline to keep them safe and sustainable.
Trails & Scope
- Ricky Business
- Sideline
Work includes:
- Filling small ruts and erosion channels
- Re-shaping berms and trail tread
- Clearing debris from drainage lines
What to Bring
- Sturdy footwear (hiking or work boots)
- Work gloves
- Eye protection (safety glasses or goggles recommended)
- Weather-appropriate clothing (rain gear if needed)
- Water bottle and a light snack
(EMBA will provide all necessary tools and materials on-site.)
Schedule & Check-In
- 6:15 PM: Arrive at Hardisty Drive, check in with Jesse, sign waiver, collect tools
- 6:30 PM: Safety briefing and trail assignments
- 6:45–8:45 PM: Remediation work on Ricky Business & Sideline
- 8:45–9:00 PM: Debrief, return tools, and wrap up
Please arrive by 6:15 PM so we can start promptly at 6:30 PM.
